Bad Blogger

I am quite possibly one of the least reliable updaters in today's world. I am truly terrible at updating my socials, announcing things, keeping content coming. It's just a habit I have never gotten into (or a bad habit I can't get out of). I do hope to improve on this. I doubt I will, but it's important to have goals, right?

There are many updates since the last time I shared anything here. I'll hit the high points:

• WALTZ, my first feature film, secured a distribution deal and is now available on Prime, Tubi, Google Play, AppleTV, Fawesome.TV, and others.

• DEAD FRIENDS FOREVER wrapped last September and is currently in post production. Its trailer won Best Horror Trailer at this year's Trailer Bash/Raging Pages film festival! (Check out Grimm Sleeper Productions' official site for more info!)

• I am currently in the final third of AWAKENINGS: Beyond the Storm, Book I. I'm very happy with how this book has come together and am excited to keep pushing through the next phase: revisions!

• After quite literally throwing the entire first draft of THE WAY OF SEEMING in the trash and rebuilding it from the ground-up, then leaving it on the shelf for far too long, I am also working hard on that draft. I'm about a third of the way through it. It has benefitted tremendously from the downtime and also from all my work drafting AWAKENINGS, because this new version is tighter, crisper, and much more focused where it ought to be (that is to say, on Mystery Mile and the suspense, and less-so the CW-style relationship drama that defined the first draft)

• I do have a rough outline of THE UNQUIET RAGE, the final novella in the Unquiet series. However, it is at the bottom of my priority list, after AWAKENINGS and SEEMING.

• I added some new pics on the ABOUT page since most of the others were nearly a decade old. The new ones feature a few of my festival wins for screenwriting, and a lovely pic of myself and Mr. Mark Tierno (the "beef treats" zombie from Romero's DAY OF THE DEAD!) on-set in Beaver, PA while filming DEAD FRIENDS FOREVER. (Mark is one of four Romero alumni in DFF; also in the film are Jeanie Jefferies [Blonde Zombie from Dawn of the Dead], Mike Ancas [Head Ripper Zombie from Day of the Dead], and Michael J. Tomaso (Football Player Zombie from Day of the Dead). That's one awesome zombie pedigree!

I do expect that our distributor for WALTZ will be equally interested in DEAD FRIENDS FOREVER. And I do have hopes of doing a film adaptation of THE WAY OF SEEMING, since it began its life as a short film 25 years ago (how is that even possible!?), but there are other factors that will contribute to how that goes down.

I do hope to make the time to update more here. I am simply not a social person, so "social media" in general is just an alien concept to me.
